The South West is a beautiful and diverse part of the country, it is a great place to both live and work.
A city that doesn’t just buzz, it thumps! If ever there was a city with a story to tell, it’s Bristol. Enveloped in the hills of South West England, it has its own unmistakable identity, carved out by passionate locals and spirited fans.
The Cotswolds covers a huge area – almost 800 square miles – and runs through five counties (Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire). One of the delights of visiting the Cotswolds is exploring the different areas, each with its own identity, yet all with those defining Cotswold features: golden stone and rolling hills, the ‘wolds’
Located in the far west of Great Britain on a peninsula tumbling into the vast Atlantic ocean, almost completely surrounded by the sea, a magnificent coastline wraps around Cornwall for almost 300 miles. Cornwall is also the location of mainland Great Britain's most southerly promontory, The Lizard, and one of the UK’s most westerly points, Land's End, while a few miles off shore and even further west is an archipelago of tiny islands that make up the Isles of Scilly.
Devon is a county of great beauty, history, culture and contrast, with a huge choice of intriguing places to explore and experience. Devon has much to be proud of… it boasts two coastlines, two National Parks, five areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO Geopark, and a UNESCO World Heritage.
All over Dorset, you'll uncover charming market towns with their own individuality, character and history to relate and there’s always a pretty little village tucked around the corner to explore. Much of the charming countryside Dorset has to offer has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it's easy to see why. Our coast offers something for everyone…beautiful, long, sandy beaches offer the ideal playground to build sandcastles and dance in the froth of the waves whilst other stretches are perfect for a bit of adventure!
Isles of Scilly
Outstandingly beautiful, uncrowded and unspoilt. The Isles of Scilly lie just off the coast of Cornwall but are a world apart in every way. One of the larger English counties and yet far from the most densely populated, Somerset has so many surprises waiting to be unwrapped by the inquisitive visitor. Even those who live here can be taken aback to discover some of its gems; wildflower meadows, beach waterfalls, ancient wells, unique carvings and underground reservoirs. Then there are the well-known landmarks which, despite seeming all too familiar, have secrets of their own.
Wiltshire is a beautiful and diverse county with a thriving arts scene covering theatre, cinemas, arts centres and more. Wiltshire has been a special place for a very long time and our World Heritage Site stands testament to the ages. Stonehenge and Avebury have a magnetism that has drawn people to them for centuries.
